I am not the right REALTOR® for every person. Yet, for the people I choose to work with, and the folks who choose to work with me, there is no better REALTOR®, period.
I love to negotiate. I am good at it. I am a sweetheart to deal with, and a barracuda for my clients. You want me on your side of the table not across from you. While I work collaboratively to produce the best possible deal for my clients, a win-win deal, I always make sure my clients win is the biggest it can be.
My favorite class as an undergraduate was “The Psychology of Negotiation,” and ever since then I have been fascinated with the process of negotiation and learning the ins-and-outs of the process, sharpening my skills, learning new techniques. I am the only Certified Negotiation Expert that I know of in Madison, I subscribe to (and read) “Negotiation Journal” an academic journal published by a consortium of Harvard, MIT and Tufts Universities. In brief, I am the best negotiator in Madison.
A Specialist, not a generalist
I only solicit listings from five neighborhoods in Madison (out of over 130 neighborhoods), if you are reading this, there is a very good chance that you live in one of the few neighborhoods I solicit listings from – Bay Creek, Dudgeon-Monroe, Marquette, Schenk-Atwood or Tenney-Latham. Other “local” REALTORS® will take listings from almost anywhere, Verona, Fitchburg, DeForest, – I focus on only these four Madison neighborhoods. Why? Because these neighborhoods are special, the homes and the owners are one-of-a-kind, and they deserve special attention, from a very selective REALTOR®.
This is a distinction of quality over quantity. It is the distinction between shopping at the Co-Op or Jenny St. Market, versus shopping at Walmart. If you want to work with a REALTOR® who regularly has thirty or more listings, that is fine, but I am not the right REALTOR® for you. If you want to work with a specialist who knows and loves your neighborhood, who has time to dedicate to your home – I’m your girl.
Right the First Time
As a transexual woman I know that there are some people who look at me, assume that I have made horrible decisions in my life, and will never trust me with their greatest asset.
